Starting from the Glorieta de España, right in front of the City Hall, we will visit the essential landmarks that no visitor to Murcia should miss. The tour is led by an official tourist guide, a history graduate and expert in historical heritage.
The tour covers some of the essential sites for understanding the history of Murcia and the legacy that each era has left on the present-day city. We will approach the river, an indispensable element for understanding the origin of Murcia and its relationship with the surrounding agricultural land. We will talk about its history and its bridges, see the ancient walls of Mursiya, and visit churches that were once mosques, on a tour of the most beautiful parts of Murcia's historic center.
We will also stop at iconic locations for the people of Murcia, such as Plaza de las Flores, Plaza de Santo Domingo, and Calle Trapería, before ending our tour in the monumental setting of the Cathedral, a true synthesis of art in the city, which will serve as the grand finale.
